You are entering the mountain.
For its indistinct boundaries it seems endlessly vast. Thus the way of entering-accessing. It is a way into the unknown requiring vigilant attention towards particularities. Step by step, detail by detail, little by little. These particularities become guides that invoke a feeling of presence. Presence of each millimetre.
The mountain situation, of a concrete place, is an objective one; intentionally built of details, but rather than a collection of these particularities, it is something in between.
It fills the space between, between particularities, between particularities and us, between us. It embodies a presence of the others, and our own emotional response to their presence. It is a manifestation of a coexistence of us and the others.
It is an atmosphere.
It is not about a space that would be optimal, comfortable, prearranged, obvious, legible, easy to consume. It does not allow to be still, the mountain suggests to move. It forbids to walk straight, fast, absentmindedly.
The mountain exists; and while inside we don´t take aim; but on the contrary, we walk, observe, perceive.
The mountain generates an interest necessary for us to make next steps. An interest which is ambivalent itself. An interest for us, for the others – encountered, for an encounter. The mountain is an encounter.
Each encounter is more of a possibility (of a realisation) than a realisation itself, than a result. It is a beginning, openness, for a while, leaning, for a while, and following for a while
