the exhibition built as a journey. A viewer is achieving new position - he is not a passive perciever, but an active “walker”, explorer.

An Encounter with Observer is an intermedia reflection on possibilities
of encounter with the other. it questions an idea of encounter of two – two who have close relationship, but operate in different spacetimes.
the starting point of reflection is a personal experience from our family archive, when we attended a solar eclipse observation in 1999 at Balaton lake, Hungary, (as a family, with my father as a professional astronomer). a kid‘s point of view on an ethernal phenomena, as well as an experiencing of a family trip is confronted with realizing difficulties to make a dialogue with father, with the gap, „space distance“ between two people. using different art strategies i try to make
contact, start a dialogue, create a platform/event for an encounter. a double position (father-scientist; viewer-observer; objective observer/ creator of an authentic record) is one the essential parts of the project, along with questioning the reliability of memory and conscious/ unconscious filtrating of recollections
