from curatorial text of B. Jablonská:
“Studying at the Academy of Fine Arts gave her the opportunity to
concentrate on what is now the main leitmotif of her work: to articulate and
make visible what we perceive as difficult to grasp - an emotion, a feeling, a
memory or an experience. Her uniqueness as an artist lies not only in her
attempt to materialize these in drawing, in painting, in words, in sound, or in
movement, but also in capturing their connections between our inner world and the
one that surrounds us. The landscape, the sky, the sun and the universe is then
the scene to which she relates to...(..)..
For, she creates with words and the relationships between them. With emptiness or silence. Searched for in the written, discovered in the spoken. She says that sometimes in her notebooks she gets into the habit of repeating the same word over time. That she takes it and grasps it, turns it over, touches it. She doesn't even know why, but she needs to understand and digest it first in order to move on. For her, understanding happens through writing and through drawing. She says: “After that, usually it turns into something else. I feel like after I step away from it, I'm not the one who is leading the conversation anymore, but I'm going along with it.....We're in this together ..... “

In my work I mainly
create inter-and trans-media projects based on observation (both the outer and
the inner world) through drawing as a usual starting point, which leads to
extension to spatial installations, site-specific interventions, and eventually
creating complex environments that are opened toward all the art media,
emphasising on their interconnection, harmonization, supporting and underlining
each other.
The core of my interest is a relationship: the process of creating a relationship, communication, dialogue, the feeling of closeness – whether as an ideological and conceptual theme within my artworks, or as a form of creation and realization of the art work or in collaborative projects. Relation of me and the other, me and the space, me and the world.
In the last couple of years my work gained certain elements of performativity, body-ness, temporality, it has deflected from visuality and imagery towards immaterial – gesture, word, movement, atmosphere. Let´s call it “situation”. I explore ways of evoking a bodily experience using im-material means (sound, light, drawing with just a minimal trace, gesture, fleeting movement in the space…the body subtly touches another body, lungs exhale, the moon overlays the sun. stealthy).
I try to evoke a suggestive feeling, to create some sort of timelessness, to make one feel present, to experience the moment, the being, being present. My goal is to make viewers feel slower, to provoke their perception, to determine their movement through space and thus to experience it bodily, to slowdown, realize their own here and now. to create an encounter. I would love to make viewers to experience this: “I came in, and now as I’m leaving, I’m not the same. something has changed.
This comes together with questioning the impact of a memory: how does memory influence our perception of space?
I analyse the space limits and limitations, as well as limits of one´s body – what does the „outside“ mean? Where does
the „inside“ begin? What is bigger: the outside or the inside? What „in between” is?

I imagine waking up
and having a stone in my mouth
the other time
I’m falling asleep and I feel it
behind my eyes
just like that
anytime
or I wake up and it’s in the same room with me
it fills all the space the whole volume
only can I leave the room by passing it by
closely
Besides the art practice I also engage in education and gallery-pedagogy. My practice is based on Montessori training which I involve in my workshops and lectures. Based in Bratislava and Žilina, Slovakia.
